Experience the amazing beauty, tranquillity and proximity to the beach front. At Sandbox Apartments the ocean view is breath-taking and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Sandbox is a small two-level building of eight apartments at 616 Pacific Parade, directly in front of Tugun Beach and 4 km from Gold Coast Airport. Every apartment is fully self-contained with a kitchen, dining and living area and its own laundry with dryer, and most open onto a balcony or terrace facing the water.
We love it here and think of it as Paradise. We look forward to welcoming you.

The Neighbourhood
Tugun, the quiet southern end of the Gold Coast
Lie in the sun, swim, surf or kitesurf. Tugun Surf Club is 50 metres down the beach, with a patrolled swimming area and lifeguards.
A short walk south brings you to the still waters of Currumbin Creek: white-golden sand and sky-blue, see-through water. Swim in the still water or climb the big rock, Currumbin Rock, and there are surf schools nearby if you want to learn.
More than 16 places to eat, two supermarkets and shops are within a five-minute walk, and Gold Coast Airport is 4 km away, five minutes by taxi. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is 850 metres up the road; the Currumbin Rock Pools and the theme parks are each about half an hour's drive.

The Deluxe 1 Bedroom sleeps three (a queen and a single), the 2 Bedroom apartments sleep four (a queen plus two singles) and the 3 Bedroom apartments sleep six (a queen plus two rooms with two singles each). A fold-out bed with white dry-cleaned pressed sheets and a towel is $40 for the stay, and a cot and high chairs are available for a fee, subject to availability.
Are the apartments really absolute beachfront?
Yes. 616 Pacific Parade sits directly in front of Tugun Beach, with nothing between the building and the sand. The Ocean View apartments face the water with large balconies; the Deluxe 1 and 2 Bedroom apartments have balconies with some ocean views, and the Deluxe 3 Bedroom has a ground-floor terrace without a direct view.
Is there Wi-Fi and air conditioning?
Yes. Every apartment has free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a smart TV and an espresso machine, with its own kitchen, dining and living area and a laundry with a dryer. The Premium Ocean View apartment also has a 55-inch 4K Smart Android TV and a six-stage filtered water tap.

Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta (OOL) is 4 km away, about five minutes by taxi. It is close enough for an early flight without an early alarm, and far enough that you don't notice it.

Yes, a $350 security bond applies to every stay. It is a pre-authorisation on your credit card only, not a charge, and we release the hold once you have checked out and the apartment is left as you found it.

Rates start from $160 a night and move with the season and the length of your stay. The price our booking engine shows for your dates is the total you pay: the $95 cleaning fee is included before you confirm, and there are no booking fees when you book direct. Our best rate is for stays of three nights or more; one and two-night stays are available on the flexible rate.
